VINERY Stud resident Testa Rossa was among the leading sires by average at the conclusion of the 2010 Magic Millions National Weanling sale on the Gold Coast this week.

Six testa Rossa weanlings changed hands at an average of $79,750.

Leading the way was Lot 193, a colt out of Capto who sold for $150,000.

He was closely followed on day two by Lot 483, a colt from Faze, who was snapped up out of the Vinery draft by NZ-agent Paul Beamish for $120,000.

Sire of recent Group One winners, Ortensia and Rostova, Testa Rossa continues to produce results on the track and in the sale ring with his 2010 yearlings selling to $360,000.

Progeny of two-times Golden Slipper and Magic Millions sire More Than Ready were also in high demand.

His three weanlings sold for a combined total of $350,000 at an average of $116,667.
