TESTA Rossa gelding Blue Chagall is poised to become a Group winner on both sides of the Atlantic when he lines-up in the G2 Oak Tree Mile Stakes in the USA tomorrow morning our time.

Blue Chagall was foaled in France as a result of Testa Rossa’s one and only Northern Hemisphere season spent at Haras De Petit Tellier in Deauville.

The gelding won the Longchamp Prix des Chenes Gr.3 as a 2YO in his home country before being exported to America where he has added the Del mar Wicker Stakes (L) and Lure Stakes (L).

Blue Chagall’s career highlight in the U.S to date came when he was placed fourth in the G1 Frank E. Kilroe Mile at Santa Anita earlier this year.

This weekend’s feature has attracted a field of seven to do battle for the US$150,000 mile, a race won in 1986 by outstanding sire contributor Palace Music.
