SYDNEY – MOSSMAN colt Love Conquers All is one of four pre-post favourites for next month’s $1m Magic Millions 3YO trophy.
The Team Hawkes-trained galloper was promoted to equal top pick after a sterling win at Randwick on Boxing Day against a high class field.
Love Conquers All was having his first start since a luckless performance in the G1 Coolmore Stud Stakes at Flemington in November.
Love Conquers All is the most expensive Mossman yearling sold at auction, reaching $400,000 at the 2008 Gold Coast Sale.
“It is onwards and upwards from here,” co-trainer Michael Hawkes said. “The plan all along has been the Magic Millions and he is on track.”
“He performed strongly here before he went down to Melbourne where he was only beaten a little over two lengths in the Coolmore Stud Stakes (Gr.1) after getting lost down the straight.”
