DUAL Group One winning Mossman galloper Buffering dominates betting in his quest for a third consecutive Group 1 this weekend when he lines-up in the WATC Winterbottom Stakes (1200m) at Ascot in Perth.

Mossman sired 4 individual Group winners during Melbourne Cup week and his dominance looks set to continue in the West.

Ace Queenslander Buffering has been trading at $2.40 with most betting agencies in pre-post ahead of local hero Barakey at $4.

Buffering has endured a frustrating sequence of 10 Group 1 placings, many of them by bare margins, before his booming 4-lens MVRC A. J. Moir Stakes (1200m) triumph on September 27.

The Robert Heathcote trained 6YO followed-up with a second all-the-way win, this time in the Group 1 VRC Sprint Classic (1200m) up the Flemington straight.

Buffering has won $3,810,900 for connections with 14 wins and 14 placings from his 37 starts so far.

Meanwhile, Victorian Mossman mare Plucky Belle is aiming for her first Group 1 win in the $1m WATC Railway Stakes (1600m).

The Peter Moody trained daughter of Mossman is in the best form of her career coming off a last start 1.3-lens win on the Group 3 VRC Lavazza Stakes (1400m) on Melbourne Cup at Flemington ahead of Chris Waller duo Arinosa and She’s Clean.

The final day of the 2014 Flemington carnival provided to be all out triumph for Vinery stallion Mossman whose sons Buffering and Dothraki stole the limelight with their respective feature wins.

The striking chestnut 3YO Dothraki was rewarded for a life-long consistency in major races with a deserved win in the Listed ATC Hilton Hotel & Resorts Handicap (1400m) against a quality field.
It was Dothraki’s first stakeswin to go with stakes-placings in the Group 2 ATC Pago Pago Stakes, Group 3 Skyline Stakes and Listed Sir Brian Crowley Stakes.

“I’ve always had a huge wrap on him. He’s probably the only horse in the stable that can get anywhere near Snitzerland,” winning trainer Gerald Ryan said.
”He’s just taken a while to put it together.”

Dothraki wears the familiar red and white ensign of the Ward brothers Michael and Chris’s Triple Crown Syndications who bought the colt’s Big Brown half brother for $150,000 at the 2013 Magic Millions Yearling Sale on the Gold Coast.
The Ward’s and Ryan are also the team behind Charlie Boy (by Myboycharlie) who took out the Group 2 VRC Danehill Stakes (1200m) at Flemington at the beginning of the spring carnival.
