PROGENY of two-time Golden Slipper sire More Than Ready accounted for arguably two of the most impressive efforts at the official 2YO trials held at Randwick on Monday.

Heat 1 went the way of David Payne’s bay filly Defiant Dame who made the running in the 850m heat before clearing out to win by 4 1/4-lens in slick time.

Defiant Dame was purchased by prominent owner Les Samba for $270,000 at the 2010 Magic Millions Yearling sale on the Gold Coast.

Later in the day, the Ambers Waltz connection of John O’Shea and owner Keith Biggs were reunited under the Elite Falls banner, a daughter of MTC T.S. Carlyon Cup – G3 winner Niagara Falls (by Danehill).

Elite Falls was momentarily relegated to second last passing the 200m before finishing off her heat in most impressive style.

Elite Falls is bred on the same More Than Ready/Danehill cross as Perfectly Ready, Benicio and along the same lines as Slipper winner, Sebring.
