AUSTRALIA’S two-time Champion Sire of 2YO’s has a chance to replicate some of Golden Slipper success with runners in both divisions of the world famous Breeders’ Cup Juvenile.

Billed as Horse Racing’s version of the Olympic games, the Breeders’ Cup begins at Churchill Downs tonight (local time) with More Than Ready the only Stallion to have runners in both divisions of the Breeders Cup Juvenile.

The G2 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (1600m) is timed to start at 7.50am AEST and will be telecast on SKY2.

More Than Ready’s trainer Todd Pletcher will saddle-up both of the Vinery stallion’s Breeders’ Cup hopefuls starting with More Than Real in the fillies division and Pluck in the colts.

More Than Real won on debut prior to her last start second in the Natalma Stakes Gr.3 at Woodbine in Canada.

More Than Real is out of a Dehere mare named Miss Seffens who won five Listed races in the USA and finished fourth in the G1 Kentucky Oaks.

Pletcher’s hopes of winning the colt’s division rest with the regally bred Pluck who has won two of his four starts so far including the G3 Woodbine Summer Stakes.

Pluck is currently ranked among the Top Ten 2yo Colts in North America by earnings.

”Todd Pletcher is a Hall of Fame trainer in the US so anytime he has a runner in these big races, you know they will run well,” Vinery’s Conor Phelan.

”The common factor with both of his 2YO’s is that they are on an upward spiral going into the Breeders’ this weekend.”
