Rising Vinery sire Onemorenomore has unveiled another promising two year-old in Singapore.
His (Aus) bred gelding Excellent One was a surprise winner on debut for trainer Tan Hor Khoon on Friday night. After duelling in front, he was headed in the straight but found another kick to score by a half-length at long odds.
Excellent One (2g Onemorenomore – Big Issue by Clang) is raced by Happy Happy Stable and is from an unraced half-sister to Eagle Farm stakes winner Aidan James (Vettori).
“He’s just two and is still very green,” said Tan. “He’s quite new and has a long way to go. I will enter him in more turf races in the future but I won’t increase the distances for now. I have the feeling that he has the makings of a miler.”
Onemorenomore also has brilliant youngster Genius firing at Kranji this season following a win in the Inglis Melbourne Juvenile Stakes and a last-start second in the G2 Aushorse Golden Horseshoe.
Onemorenomore is among the Hunter Valley’s leading second-season stallions on the Australian winners and wins premierships with 27 winners of 39 races. Stakes winning filly Onemorezeta heads his earners with overall prizemoney about to break $1 million this season.
Vinery will stand Onemorenomore (Red Ransom) for a $6,600 (inc GST) fee in 2015.
