MOSSMAN colt Hoofit can sure up his future stallion potential on either side of the Tasman by winning tomorrow’s Group 2 NZ Bloodstock Guineas (1600m) at Trenthnam.

The Steven McKee trained 3YO arrives in peak order for Saturday’s engagement having collected the Listed Bonecrusher Stakes at Ellerslie last start.

Hoofit’s only attempt at a mile resulted in a close second in the Champagne Stakes behind Lion Tamer, subsequent winner of the AJC Ming Dynasty Stakes at Randwick.

Hoofit was sold to Paul Beamish Bstck for $60,000 at the 2009 NZ Bloodstock Premier Yearling sale in 2009.
He is raced by a group of prominent owners including Cambridge Stud master Sir Patrick Hogan.

Meanwhile, More Than Ready’s exciting freshman sire Perfectly Ready has a chance to add a black-type winner to Breeders Plate runner-up Isle be Ready, when Fready Cougar contests the Wellesley Stakes on the same program.
Perfectly Ready sired his first winner last weekend when local colt Brackenwood won at Wanganui.
