Trainer Matthew Dale is confident his Onemorenomore filly Baylie Louise can measure up in Friday week’s Murrumbidgee Guineas (1600m).
Baylie Louise had been placed at her first four starts for Caulfield trainer Mick Price before transferring to Dale’s Canberra stable in February. The change of scenery sparked wins at her home track and at Wellington before she completed a hat-trick in the Guineas Prelude (1400m) in Wagga on Tuesday.
“All you can do progress and win and she’s doing that,” Dale said. “She’s winning by good margins each time and the form out of her races has been good. She’s tough and the mile next Friday won’t be a worry.”
Baylie Louise (3f Onemorenomore – With My by Covetous) dominated the Guineas Prelude scoring by over a length from Sir Ottavio (Octagonal) and Bank On Henry (Henrythenavigator). She is a homebred for Ruane Stud owner John Baxter who has catalogued 41 lots for the Inglis Broodmare & Weanling Sale in Sydney from May 3 to 6.
Among Baxter’s unreserved dispersal is Baylie Louise (Lot 392), her weanling half-sister by All Too Hard (Lot 143) and their dam With My (Lot 388) who is back in foal to All Too Hard.
Onemorenomore (Red Ransom) has been on a roll siring the winners of 11 races in the last month. Vinery will stand him for a $6,600 (inc GST) fee in 2015.
