AN INHERITED three-by-three cross duplication of noted stamina influence Twig Moss (FR) runs incongrious to the sheer speed and precocity of Mossman son Double Impact.

Double Impact who has quickly established himself as one of Queensland’s leading pre-Christmas two-year-olds and joins another Mossman 2yo Stakes horse Dinner Date as a early favourite for Autumn riches.

The Magic Millions hopeful won his first two starts before placing third (btn 0.6-lens) in last Saturday’s Listed BRC Phelan Ready Stakes (1000m) at Eagle Farm.

“He was having his first run in nine weeks and as good as it was, I would expect that there would be a fair bit of improvement in him,” Vinery Stud’s Conor Phelan remarked.
“No doubt he is trying to force his way into the Magic Millions field and that’s what he is being set for. He has shown that he can race pretty handy to the speed in these 1000m races so when he gets to 1200m at the Gold Coast, provided he got a good barrier, you could see him right there.”

“Double Impact won the first 2yo race run in Australia this season, backed it up with another victory and has now picked up blacktype, he’s got raw talent and is doing well”

Double Impact’s ascension to black type continues a wonderful season so far for Mossman who is currently in fifth posiiton on the leading Sire of 2YO’s (2010/11) rankings close behind associate sire More Than Ready in second.
