Champion trainer Mike De Kock will set Entisaar for the lucrative KwaZulu-Natal winter season after his More Than Ready filly won the G2 SA Fillies Nursery (1160m) on Saturday.
Entisaar (2f More Than Ready – Purrpurrlena by Catbird) looked exceptional in the parade ring and on the way to the start at Turffontein. She was well-placed behind the speed in the early stages before Anthony Delpech pushed the button and from that point the result was never in doubt.
The Vinery graduate is raced by Sheikh Hamdan and was a cracking winner of the LR Ruffian Stakes on debut in March. She was sent out a long odds-on favourite second-up in the G3 Pretty Polly Stakes but was tardily away and struggled in the sticky surface when runner-up to Speedy Suzie.
That form-line looked all wrong as she sprinted well clear of Speedy Suzie down the straight-course on Saturday.
De Kock has several options for Entisaar starting with the G1 Allan Robertson Championship (1200m) at Scottsville on May 23. The G1 Golden Slipper (1400m) on July 4 and G2 Debutante Stakes (1200m) on July 18 are others possible assignments at Greyville.
Entisaar was bred by Vinery partner Alan Green and made $300,000 at the 2014 Inglis Easter yearling sale, selling to Shadwell Australasia. She is the first foal for Purrpurrlena who won four races in Sydney and was also runner-up in a G3 Newcastle Newmarket.
Purrpurrlena has a yearling filly by More Than Ready, a colt on the ground by Congrats and she was bred to All Too Hard last year.
