TESTA Rossa mare Pane In The Glass is out to wind back the clock when she returns to the scene of her outstanding win in the Silver Shadow Stakes this weekend.

The flashy chestnut resumes with a great hope in the $100,000 Toy Show Quality (1200m) at Warwick Farm tomorrow off the back of two sound trials at headquarters.

Pane In the Glass was a gifted two-year-old winning her first three starts before luckless placings in the Sires and Champagne Stakes.

She returned at three to take out the Group 3 Silver Shadow Stakes (1200m) at the corresponding Warwick Stakes meeting 12 months ago.

Pane In The Glass has won 4 times inside 14 starts and earned close to $700,000.

MEANWHILE globe trotting Testa Rossa mare, Ortensia is rated a $4.80 chance with TAB Sportsbet to add tonight’s Group 1 Nunthorpe Stakes (1000m) in the UK to her tally of international success.

The Paul Messara trained mare is aiming for her third Group 1 win alongside previous triumphs in the WATC Winterbottom Stakes in Perth and her famous come from behind victory in Duab’s Al Quoz Sprint.

“It’s going to be a big field (19 runner’s) and the one thing that is against her, if anything, is whether she is going to be able to find a passage because she is a bit of backmarker,” Paul’s father, John Messara said this week.

“If you go back and look at the sectional times from her King George Stakes win last start at Goodwood you’ll find that she ran her middle three furlongs (600m) in 31 seconds flat, and that’s where she won the race.”
