Vinery have confirmed that 2010 Horse of the Year, Typhoon Tracy passed away whilst foaling this morning.
The six time Group One winner quietly passed away this morning shortly after producing a healthy colt by Street Cry.
“The family has been with us for a long time and this is an extremely sad morning. ‘Tracy passed away quietly following a straight forward foaling from a suspected ruptured broad ligament.” said Peter Orton.
“Typhoon Tracy’s dam Tracy’s Element, now 22 years of age, was born and reared here and has been an integral part of the farm for years. This is an extremely sad morning for the Hutchin’s family and the Stud.”
The colt is doing well.
