The past year has been another successful one at Vinery.

The most satisfying part for us, was that it resulted from a genuine team effort by our entire roster of stallions. We have always strived to offer a broad range of sires best suited to the local market, race conditions and all levels of competition. The successes in 2013/14 were another big step toward the realisation of our vision.

Farm favourite Mossman enjoyed a sensational season with his Golden Slipper winner Mossfun, multiple Gr.1 winner Buffering and the NZ Oaks winner Miss Mossman.

Testa Rossa added the Magic Millions 2yo Classic to his record with Unencumbered and young sire Myboycharlie sired his first Gr.1 winner with Peggy Jean taking out the ATC Gr.1 Sires Produce.

More Than Ready continued siring winners all over the world adding stakes winners in South Africa, North America, New Zealand and of course at home with Samaready’s brilliant win of the Gr.1 Moir Stakes. Our emerging shuttle stallions Big Brown and Congrats continue to get class runners in the north and the signs are looking good for them to repeat this down here.

We await with great anticipation the arrival of All Too Hard’s first foals this year. He is a spectacular athlete and covered an incredible book of mares in his first season. This first book will surely see him be a great success at stud, continuing the achievements of the stallions standing at Vinery.

The final piece of team work and such a vital element of our success is the enormous support of our loyal clients, the Vinery partners and the dedication of the Vinery team caring for the farm and the valuable bloodstock residing here. In March of 2012 Neil Werrett took over John Singleton’s stake in Vinery and has joined existing partners Dr Thomas Simon, Gerry Harvey, Alan Green, Steve McCann and Greg Perry. Vinery shuttle stallions from Europe and the U.S and take great pride in the 13 Stallions we offer on our Hunter Valley roster.

The depth and breadth of Australian sires today has certainly seen the end of us having only one or two elite stallions. We now have the choice of the best of homebred stallions and a very healthy spread of leading sires from around the world offering breeders great depth and variety for their mares.

The 2014 Vinery service fees represent great value to breeders at every level.

With consistent results on the racetracks this year and a strike rate well above the average, you’ll have every opportunity to upgrade your mares and share in our success at the highest level of competition.

And finally, we’d like to take this opportunity to invite you to the farm to inspect the Vinery stallions at any time. We’d also like to wish you the best of luck for the season ahead, and look forward to working with you in the future.
