TESTA Rossa mare Bella Rossie returned from her 8-month lay off with a dominant win at Newcastle in the ATC Coca Cola Handicap (900m).

Trained by Gary Portelli at Warwick Farm, the lightly-raced four-year-old came from well back in the field to pass her rivals and set up an emphatic 1.5-lens victory.

It was Bella Rossie’s second win at her fourth start; she had previously won at Cessnock over 900m by 4-lens running an incredibly fast 50.53s.

Meanwhile, promising Testa Rossa two-year-old Twilight Royale will seek to remain unbeaten when she tackles a hot field in tomorrow’s ATC TAB Number One Plate (1000m) at Warwick Farm.

The race will be run over the same and course and distance that mirrored her debut win in the $250,000 Inglis Nursery on December 22.
