Mares in foal to All Too Hard have totalled $2.54 million at the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale.
The Vinery sire had been in demand with his first foals at the National Weanling Sale earlier in the week averaging $180,000 and leading agent Damon Gabbedy rated his colt from Indelible (NZ) as the top foal to sell on the Gold Coast.
Mares in foal to All Too Hard averaged $170,000 and the most expensive was Sweet Cheeks, a stakes winning General Nediym mare purchased by Trevor Stuckey for $360,000. She won the 2009 Maribyrnong Trial Stakes at Flemington and has a yearling colt by Casino Prince and a colt on the ground by More Than Ready.
Stuckey owned multiple Group 1 winner Racing To Win ($3.76 million) and the former bookmaker also races last year’s Group 1 Caulfield Guineas winner Shooting To Win.
Miss Fearless (Snitzel) was sold with an All Too Hard PPT to NSW breeders Mystery Downs for $290,000. She is a winning half-sister to Caulfield Group 2 winner Star Rolling (Casino Prince).
Also finding new homes in NSW were Element of Danger (Red Ransom) and Galizani (Galileo) who both made $250,000. Hunter Valley studs Kitchwin Hills and Arrowfield also bought mares in foal to All Too Hard as did Coolmore Stud agent Demi O’Byrne.
All Too Hard covered 351 mares in his first two seasons at Vinery and he will stand the 2015 season for a $55,000 (inc GST) service fee.
