LAST Saturday it was More Joyous at her brilliant best defending her title in the Queen of the Turf, this week More Than Ready/Singo and Gai are together again to wish on their 2010 Golden Slipper placegetter More Strawberries.
A winner of almost $800,000 so far, More Strawberries is scheduled to resume in the Group 2 ATC Sapphire Stakes (1200m) against the unbeaten filly, Atlantic Jewel.
More Strawberries boasts a compelling first-up record of 4s 1-1-1 highlighted by a brave win in the Listed Tibbie Stakes (1400m) at Newcastle in the spring.
“More Strawberries may have a tough task at level weights against a horse of Atlantic Jewel’s calibre however she’s proven fresh and she’s been outstanding in her work leading up to this,” Sportsman’s Randwick trackman Craig ‘Clocker’ Tompson reported.
“At the value she’s certainly worth the gamble.”
