MORE Than Ready’s peerless record in the world’s richest 2YO race looks set to improve again in 2013 with Romantic Moon stepping forward as a genuine Golden Slipper candidate.
The Gooree bred and owned youngster came away from her rivals to record a comprehensive 1-len win the Group 3 Sweet Embrace Stakes (1200m).
More Than Ready sired consecutive Golden Slipper winners in 2008 (Sebring) and Phelan Ready (2009) as well as placegetters More Strawberries, Elite Falls and Samaready from 2010 until last year.
Romantic Moon is bred the same cross as Saturday’s NZ Oaks winning filly More Than Sacred being out of a Danehill mare.
The cross has spawned over 50 individual race winners led by Benicio, Perfectly Ready and Dreamaway.
