TESTA ROSSA filly Pane In The Glass is likely to start a short priced favourite to win Saturday’s rich STC Inglis Classic (1200m) at Rosehill and keep her unbeaten record in check.
The Patinack Farm owned miss is seeking to add to another $150,000 to her booty which was bolstered by a similar amount when she cruised home to win the AJC Inglis Nursery (1000m) at Randwick in December.
Before that, Pane In The Glass had debuted with a length win at Eagle Farm in November.
”It’s not a big field to contend with this weekend,” Vinery Stud’s Conor Phelan.
”When she won the Nursery at Randwick she drew 11 of 13. This time there are only seven other runners in the race so she won’t have to pass as many this time.
”This is the first time she has been asked to go 1200m but the way she has rocketed to the line from off the speed in her only two runs so far, you would think she’d be even better with the extra 200m.”
Pane In The Glass was bred and sold by industry icon Miss Anne Raymond for $32,000 at the 2010 Inglis Classic Yearling sale.
