ALL Eyes will be on the stopwatch when Congrats’ fleet footed two-year-old filly Applauding steps out at Fair Grounds in Louisiana later today (local time).

The filly stunned onlookers on debut when she clocked a blisteringly quick 1:07.76s over six furlongs (abt 1200m) at Keeneland (KY) – the fastest time for the distance by 0.54s since Keeneland switched to Polytrack for its main surface at the 2006 fall meet.

Applauding, trained by Al Stall, has always been incredibly fast.

The Florida bred filly was purchased for $370,000 as a two-year-old in training at Fasig Tipton after handing in one of the quickest eight-mile work outs prior to sale.

Applauding will use today’s New Orleans race as her final lead-in to the $250,000 Starlet (Gr.1) at Hollywood Park on Dec. 10.
