A ROUSING track gallop at Greyville has outstanding More Than Ready son Readytogorightnow in peak order ahead of his Group 1 Vodacom Durban July (2200m) in a week’s time.

The Australian-bred 5YO was the final one of more than 16 contenders for the R3.5m race put through their paces ahead of the big feature.

Readytogorightnow seemed to enjoy the work, stretching out with his ears pricked & finishing the final 400m in 24.77 secs according to Goldcircle.co.za.

Readytogorightnow was bought by South African expat James Bester for just $85,000 out of Yarraman Park’s 2011 Magic Millions National Sale draft.

Trained in South Africa by Justin Snaith, Readytogorightnow has won four times 13 starts with a three placings.

Among his highlights so far are his wins in the Winter Classic and Winter Guineas, both with Group 3 status.

Readytogorightnow is part of the epic Denise’s Joy dynasty (she is his third dam) and thus a close genetic relation to 8-times Group 1 winner More Joyous.
