SHE may have missed out on her chance at Magic Millions glory but Mossman filly Pink Perfection took consolation with an easy win at Warwick Farm in the Australian Turf Club Handicap (1000m).
The Peter Moody trained 2YO was sent out an odds-on favourite on the score of placings at her only two prior starts including one at Randwick on debut behind Gimcrack Stakes winner Alpha Miss.
Pink Perfection used her superior speed to quickly set up a break on her opponents and remained there throughout, eased down at the wire for a comfortable one-length win.
“She deserves this,” Moody’s Sydney representative Clare Cunningham said.
“It’s great for her to get one (win) under her belt before she goes for a spell.
“The Magic Millions was the plan but when that didn’t happen, Pete decided to leave her here.”
Pink Perfection is out of Testa Rossa mare La Mamma Rosa, herself a daughter of the Tasmanian Oaks winner Sounds Positive.
Pink Perfection is one of several classy two-year-olds by Mossman this season along with the Inglis Nursery (1000m) winner Mossfun.
