Meanwhile, Vinery Stakes winner Lucia Valentina’s promising stable-mate Onemorezeta will make her seasonal reappearance in the Gr2 Light Fingers Stakes (1200m) at Randwick tomorrow.

The daughter of Onemorenomore announced herself as one of the emerging talents of the 3YO fillies’ ranks when scoring an impressive victory in the Gr3 Gucci Stakes (1100m) at Flemington on Crown Oaks day.

The winner of 3 of her 4 starts hitherto, Onemorezeta is yet to be tested beyond 1100 metres but Kris Lees says he is confident she will prove competitive over the 1200 metres tomorrow.

“I couldn’t be happier with her. This will be her first go at 1200 metres but she’s improved off a good break and she made good improvement from each run last preparation, so I think she’ll be competitive,” Lees told Breeding Racing. “If she proves to be strong at the 1200m then I will test her out over 1400m in the Surround Stakes.”

While holding a healthy opinion of Onemorezeta’s ability, Lees acknowledges that Saturday’s race represents her biggest challenge to date with some top-class fillies engaged.

“I think she’ll run well,” Lees said. “She’s had two nice trials but this is her biggest test. There are some genuine Group One fillies resuming.” Lees does not have any specific feature race targets for Onemorezeta at this stage, saying that how she performs on the weekend will determine where she heads next. “Because I’m still not sure what distance is going to be her preferred trip, there is no main target at this stage. We will learn more after Saturday,” he said.
