THE debut progeny of Red Ransom’s Group 1 winning son Onemorenomore have met with instant approval taking up two of the top three highest priced lots at the Magic Millions National Weanling sale at the Gold Coast on Wednesday.

A colt out of Ocean Bridge (Lot 701) topped the sale selling for $200,000 while moments later, another of the Champagne Stakes winner’s colts out of Oomph fetched $150,000.

Earlier in the day, respected NZ based bloodstock agent, Michael Wallace walked away with a Onemorenomore filly for $105,000 out of Stakes winning Flying Spur mare Spurcent .

“She is a lovely filly, one of the best on offer. She will go to New Zealand and may be seen back through the sale ring at Karaka next year.” Michael declared.

Three of the top seven priced weanlings on Day 1 were by the son of Red Ransom.

“This is an incredible endorsement of the stallion and his progeny,” Vinery’s Adam White commented.

“It was great to be able to present some nice Onemorenomore’s at the weanling sale and Patinack sent us over some from nicely performed mares. As a result they were extremely busy from the time they arrived and sold accordingly. It’s great start for him and we’re looking forward to bringing them to the yearling sales next year.”

Onemorenomore was himself a high priced yearling selling for $800,000 at the 2009 Australian Easter Yearling sale.

“He is such a good looking horse himself and his foals are very athletic, strong types who give the impression that they will be up and running early like Onemorenomore was – he placed in a Breeders’ Plate and returned to win the final leg of the Triple Crown by a big margin.” White said.

Onemorenomore served 143 mares in his first season returning a staggeringly high 93.4 percent fertility rating.

That first book included no less than 7 Group 1 winners including Turnbull Stakes winner, Devil Moon, AJC Oaks and Vinery Stud Stakes winner Heavenly Glow and the T.J. Smith Quality winner, Linky Dink.

“The results that he has achieved on this scale is a huge incentive for breeders who are considering Onemorenomore this season,” White said.

“His service fee ($24,500 inc GST) remains unchanged from his first two seasons at stud which, as we’ve seen (today), is a relatively small outlay given these extraordinary returns on his first foals.”
