Vinery sire Onemorenomore made an impact with a glut of winners out of his first two crops last season and he produced a very promising youngster from his third at the Randwick 2YO Trials on Monday.
His filly Alluvion settled three-wide on the speed for Christian Reith before extending in the straight to win by a couple of lengths from Purrari. The runner-up, who worked home nicely from the rear, is a More Than Ready sister to 2014-15 Champion South African 2YO Entisaar.
Alluvion is trained by Scott Singleton at Hawkesbury and is bred to keep improving as she gets over more ground. Her sire won the G1 Champagne Stakes (1600m) at Randwick and her USA bred dam Accretion (Cozzene) won up to 1700m in New York. She was also stakes placed in the LR Miss Grillo Stakes on turf at Belmont.
Hawkesbury trainer Scott Singleton bought Accretion during the Patinack Farm dispersal at the 2012 Inglis Summer Sale. She was carrying the Randwick trial winner and the mare has an Australian connection through Group 1 racehorse and sire Reset.
Onemorenomore will upgrade his winning strike-rate into a black-type roll-call this season and Alluvion can start the ball rolling in the LR Gimcrack Stakes (1000m) at Randwick on October 3.
The Vinery resident sired 4 stakes performers last season headed by Onemorezeta who won the LR Gucci Stakes (1100m) at Flemington during the Melbourne Cup carnival. The Kris Lees trained filly is back in work for a late spring campaign and was runner-up in a Wyong trial on September 8.
Onemorenomore stands at Vinery for a $6,600 (inc GST) service fee.
