REGALLY bred More Than Ready colt Knoydart was rewarded for his on-going consistency with a tough and determined win in today’s ATC Handicap (1300m) at Rosehill’s rescheduled Saturday meeting.

The Peter Snowden trained 3YO had been placed in each of his three runs before today’s win including consecutive seconds by margins of 0.5-lens and 0.3-lens.
Knoydart was again forced to dig deep this time fending off a concerted challenge over the final 200m prevailing by a nose to register his second win at start ten and take his earnings to $164,580.

The colt has always shown above average talent, so muck so that his 5-lens Warwick Farm win in the summer earned him a trip to Melbourne for the Group 2 MRC Autumn Stakes (1400m) where he clocked in fourth behind Mulaazam and the Australian Cup quinella Fiveandahalfstar and Super Cool.

Knoydart will no doubt once again be aimed at the black type features ahead to enhance his obvious stallion potential.
More Than Ready is a supremely promising and increasingly proven sire of sires with sons like Sebring, Perfectly Ready and Vinery’s own popular freshman sire Pluck.
Knoydart is well catered for on his female line; his dam Regal Cheer was a multiple stakeswinner of over $880,00 highlighted by the Group 1 Coolmore Classic (1500m) while his grand-dam, Regal Chamber, won the Magic Night Stakes and was placed in the Golden Slipper behind Guineas and Encounter.
