INTERNATIONALLY successful sire Big Brown can now add a South American G1 performer to his tally of global players after Kentucky-bred colt Big Wildcat finished third in the Gavea G.P Presidente da Republica (1600m – turf) last weekend.
Big Wildcat has started 13 times for 3 wins and 6 placings including (third) in a Group 2 last month immediately prior to last Sunday’s effort.
Big Brown has sired winners in the USA, Canada, Ireland, Europe, Australia and Japan on both turf and dirt and has Stakes horses over distances from the Sunny Halo Stakes L over 1200m on turf to the Japan Derby Gr.1 over 2400m.
The Kentucky Derby/Preakness winner counts 83 individual winners including 16 stakes-performers (7 SW’ers/9 SP’ed).
One of those nine stakes-placegetters is South Australian 2YO filly, Wroclaw, who has placed in the SAJC Dequetteville Stakes and Queen Adelaide Stakes, both Listed features over 1000m, at her only two starts so far.
