The gelding ensured this year’s M$700,000 feature was a true staying test setting up a fast pace throughout.

The gap between he and the others blew out to six and seven lengths approaching the bend with Wonder Mossman showing no signs of slowing until eased close to the line for a dominant win.

Wonder Mossman was bred by Gerry Harvey and is out of Eighth Wonder, a Danehill daughter of 1999 Melbourne Cup winner Jezabeel.

Originally trained in Australia by David Payne, this horse has now earned over $375,000.

His `away’ wins include three stakes races in Macau as well as three more stakesplacings there notably in the Macau Derby.

It has been a big year thus far for Vinery sire Mossman with Wonder Mossman’s win icing the cake on a spectacular start to the 2013/14 season with 5 stakeswinners in Australia led by triple Group 1 winner Buffering.

Mossman is placed in 5th (equal) this season by number of individual stakes-winners.
