TESTA Rossa fan Peter Moody heads into tomorrow’s star-studded Caulfield program armed with two major players by the Vinery Stud resident sire including the up and coming miler Testascana.
Testascana, bred by Limerick Lane Thoroughbreds, is aiming for three straight wins after scoring at Sandown-Lakeside and Flemington last month in convincing fashion.
The $85,000 Inglis Premier purchase has won 7 times from 15 starts together with four seconds and one third, a win tomorrow would see his earnings in reach of $200,000.
Moody’s other Testa Rossa runner at the Heath this weekend is the stakeswinning mare Panipique, who tackles the Listed MRC Regal Roller Stakes (1200m).
Panipique, who wears the familiar colours of Scone owner/breeder Stuart Ramsey, defeated Golden Slipper winner Crystal Lily on this same day last year when she took out the Quezette Stakes (1100m).
Testa Rossa has had considerable success in recent weeks at Melbourne Metropolitan meetings and has runner’s in another four races at Sandown on Sunday.
