HANDSOME Mossman three-year-old Greenbow appears destined for better races after he cleaned-up his rivals in the opening race on Gosford Cup day on Friday.
The Gerry Harvey owned and bred galloper was never headed nor seriously challenged showing a clean pair of heels to take out the Tab.Com.Au Mdn Plate (1000m) by 2.3-lens.
It was a scintillating rteurn to racing for Greenbow who hadn’t started since he debuted with a 0.2-lens second at Grafton as the $1.60 favourite on Ramornie Handicap day back in the winter.
Greenbow is a three-quarter-brother and not at all unlike in appearance to Gerald Ryan’s stakeswinning three-year-old Dothraki who won the VRC Hilton Hotels & Resorts Stales on the last day of the Flemington Melbourne Cup carnival.
Dothraki is one of 7 individual stakeswinners sired by Mossman before the half-way mark of the 2013/14 season.
He joins triple Group 1 winner Buffering, Absalon, Plucky Belle, Racing Eight (Horse of the Year contender in Macau), Royal Zulu Warrior (South African Group 2 winner) and reigning Inglis Nursery winner, Mossfun.
