MOSSMAN stallion Love Conquers All missed out on celebrating a much deserved Group 1 win when nosed out of the top spot by Darley mare Beaded in today’s Doomben 10,000 in Brisbane.
The Nick Moraitis owned galloper has been runner-up at his past four outings beginning with the Canterbury Stakes behind More Joyous followed by a narrow defeat in the George Ryder followed by his supreme Doncaster Mile effort
“He has been competing at the highest level and really deserves to win a big race,” says Vinery’s Adam White.
“Love Conquers All was beaten a nose today and a nose in the George Ryder – those bob on the heads finishes can easily go your way, but unfortunately for him, it’s gone the other way both times.
“Even so, he has a great record with earnings over $1.1 million and a win over Hay List, and he’s not done with yet.”
Love Conquers All has raced truly to his outstanding conformation and pedigree which saw him knocked down for $400,000 at the 2008 Magic Millions Yearling sale on the Gold Coast, a record price for a Mossman yearling at auction in Australia.
