2010 USA Champion First Season Sire Congrats is looking to take the same honours in Australia this season and could open his account when the Pat Webster trained 2YO Gud Onya makes tackles the ATC Tab.com.au Plate (1100m) at Rosehill on Saturday.
Currently 3rd on the U.S 2yo Sires list, Congrats is set to make his mark with his first crop juveniles this season. Gud Onya made a willing debut at Newcastle on November 16 finishing fourth in the 900m maiden when blocked for a run on the home turn.
Gud Onya is out of a half-sister to stakeswinning siblings Shovhog and Shovoff who are both from the former crack filly Startling Lass, herself a Luskin Star sister to the equally talented Midnight Fever.
Subsequent to his 2010 crowning as North America’s best freshman sire, Congrats excelled as a sire exceeding all expectations to now be one of the hottest sires in the U.S. With 211 winners comprising 17 stakeswinners across a variety of distances both on turf and dirt Congrats is enjoyign another surge in popularity thanks to his first big crop of 2yo’s hitting the track this year.
