IT all started with a win in a Bm64 at Donald on November 17 for Excites gelding Sistine Demon who notched her fourth straight win in another strong field at Flemington on Saturday.

The son of Excites is Melbourne’s most in-form galloper this summer taking no prisoners and defying his rivals each time no matter what the trip or the venue.

Sistine Demon’s latest all-the-way triumph was a virtual carbon copy of his effort at HQ just 7-days ago.

Trainer Andrew Noblet says he will let the dust settle before deciding whether to pursue a fifth successive win with the 4YO gelding.

“I’ll see how he is during the week – I don’t want to push the level too high and too far for him,” he said.

“We might even have a week or two on the water walker and see where we go from there.”

Sistine Demon is from Group 1 winner and Vinery resident sire Excites first crop.

His dam, Famous Painter, has proved to be a fabulous broodmare for her owners having already thrown the Group 2 VRC Edward Manifold Stakes (1600m) and Group 3 MRC H. D. F. McNeil (1100m) winner Sistine Angel (by Testa Rossa).

Sistine Angel was also runner-up to All Too Hard’s champion sibling Black Caviar in the Group 1 SAJC Robert Sangster Stakes (1200m) in Adelaide.

Famous Painter followed up Sistine Demon with a Artistic Lass, a Myboycharlie filly whom trainer David Payne is aiming for the 2014 ATC Australian Oaks after consecutive wins;  including one at Canterbury by 6.3-lens, at her past two starts.

Famous Painter foaled a Testa Rossa filly in 2011, a Big Brown filly in 2012 and a colt by Testa Rossa in 2013.
