WELL credentialed Excites galloper Red Excitement is aiming to add another $68,750 to his current earnings of $244,070 when he tackles this weekend’s Become An ATC Sponsor (1200m) at Rosehill.
The Gerald Ryan trained 3YO is also aiming for back to back city wins having cleaned up his rivals at Randwick on June 8.
Red Excitement continues to be a tremendous `money spinner’ for his connections who paid $32,500 for the horse at the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale in 2011.
The gelding is one of several high income earners sired by Vinery resident Excites in his three opening crops alongside Scream Machine ($374,195), Flag Officer ($278,450), Amber’s Crown ($260,450), Black Jag ($171,135) and this season’s Group 3 winning 2YO Excites Zelady who has so far banked over $100,000.
Meanwhile, tough and consistent staying mare Minh Khai will soon be joining the `triple figure club’ courtesy of consecutive Warwick Farm wins.
Her latest triumph came on Wednesday when the John Steinmetz trained 4YO swept passed Madam Nash to lodge her fifth career win.
