DUBLEO’s summer hot streak continued when Monnie’s Double won her third straight race at just her fifth start at today’s ATC Wyong meeting. Trained by David Pfeiffer at Warwick Farm, Monnies Double is one of 8 individual winners already this month for rising star Dubleo.
Dubleo’s continues success will no doubt play out favourably for two particular Lots of the more than 500 yearlings scheduled to go under the hammer at the 2012 Inglis Classic Yearling sale. The single Dubleo colt and the half sister to Dubleanny are sure to attract attention.
Vinery Stud (as agent) are offering buyers the one and only chance to secure a Dubleo yearling at the sale while another youngster in the auction boasts sibling status to Dubleo’s multiple stakeswinning first crop daughter and now valuable broodmare, Dubleanny.
Lot 249 in the sale is a BOBS eligible chestnut colt by Dubleo out of the unraced Springsteen mare, Attunga Rose.
Attunga Rose is a half-sister to explosive Australian-bred galloper Fighting Warrior (by Magic Albert) who took out the South African equivalent of the Golden Slipper when winning the 2011 Golden Horseshoe in the Republic.
Other members of this particularly strong family include the Group 1 winning milers – Prussian Blue and Ensign Ewart.
Meanwhile lot 185 in the sale a half sister to triple stakeswinner Dubleanny sired by the former ace 2YO, Exceedingly Good.
Exceedingly Good and this colt’s dam sire, Canny Lad, both won the Maribyrnong Plate as two-year-olds.
“There is only one Dubleo in the sale, one Exceedingly Good in the sale. Apart for the dynamic of supply and demand, both horses should well sought after on type alone,” says Vinery’s Adam White.
“They are both well bred and extremely well put together yearlings. Dubleo has sired an awesome number of winners leading into the sale and this colt is from a brilliant family being from a half sister to last year’s Group 1 winner Fighting Warrior.”
“The Exceedingly Good filly has plenty of residual value,” says White, ”There aren’t too many Exceedingly Good yearlings on offer as he covered Dubleanny was a multiple stakeswinner herself and is in foal to Testa Rossa in her first season at stud so the family is potentially going on – and close up.”
