ANTHONY Cummings is expecting a much improved effort from the lightly-raced galloper Prisengracht who is scheduled to contest the Flinders Lane Handicap (1250m) at Canterbury on Friday night.
The son of More Than Ready was $51 when he scored on debut at Warwick Farm but has been unable to hold that form since albeit with some rotten luck last start when sixth behind Riva De Lago.
”He got back on the inside in a bit of a traffic jam and should have finished in the money,” Cummings said.
”It was a better run than his previous run, the better track probably helped him.”
Prinsengracht was bred and owned by Gerry Harvey whose familiar dark blue and white silks were worn to victory by the talented Mossman 3YO Racing Eight at Warwick Farm on Wednesday.
Racing Eight is out of the Danehill mare, Eighth Wonder, whose dam Jezabeel won the 1998 Melbourne Cup.
