IMMINENT Vinery arrival Congrats has quickly added another stakes performer to his rapidly expanding tally after second-crop 2yo Congrats Man was runner up in the Listed six furlong Edmonton Juvenile Stakes on the weekend.

Having only his second start in a race, Congrats Man, a US$13,000 yearling purchase at Florida’s Ocala Bloodstock sale was second throughout and unable to pick up the leader and eventual winner Dougs Buddy in the straight.  There was a further 5 lengths back to Silver Baubles in third.

The Greg Tracy-trained colt clearly drew great benefit from his first outing shaping well at his black type initiation.

Excitement is building at Vinery Stud in the countdown to Congrats arrival where a full book of mares await.  Congrats will seek to replicate his stunning USA success which saw him crowned Champion First Season Sire with 25 individual winners from his first crop including four Grade One performers and 16 stakes performers.
