TESTA Rossa filly Pane in the Glass ended a luckless yet lucrative autumn campaign as the number one filly in action after chasing Helmet home in the Champagne Stakes on Saturday.
The Nathan Tinkler owned 2YO was placed in the Sweet Embrace and Magic Night and was the first filly home in the final two legs of the Grand Slam, the Sires’ Produce and the Champagne.
She did not contest the Golden Slipper.
”You could easily point to a few times when she had no luck whether she was held up for a run or the pace didn’t really suit her,” Vinery’s Adam White said.
”But she was always hitting the line. As for her earnings, she has got to $550,000 inside just seven starts and if you asked me who from this crop of fillies looks the most likely 1000 Guineas type – there is no doubt it is her.”
Testa Rossa current 2yo crop also includes Stakes placed Cocky Raider and Continental Flyer.
