STEPHEN ‘Crusher’ Farley and Vinery stallion Dubleo proved to be the ideal combination when they teamed up to win yesterday’s ATC Flinders Perfect Fit Handicap (1100m) at Canterbury.
Farley, best known for his efforts with dual Group 1 winner Sincero, produced Little Vicki the first crop daughter of the Champion USA stallion Tapit relation in first class order for her metropolitan test with the central coast visitor digging deep to repel a concerted challenge from runner-up, Single Play.
Little Vicki arrived in town armed with three previous wins at Walcha, Gosford and Grafton together with 6 more placings form her 17 prior starts.
The 5YO is a grand daughter of stakeswinner Khaptrist boasting the esteemed Khaptivaan as her 3rd dam.
Khaptivaan won 7 races – 4 at 2 – including the Group 2 AJC Surround Stakes and Listed Sweet Embrace Stakes.
She is the dam of 9 foals, 8 of them winners led by Group 1 VATC Oakleigh Plate hero, Khaptingly and Khapkap who delivered the uncommonly quick, Sain Khapital.
