BIG Brown filly Maracuya was backed from 10/1 to 3/1 and didn’t diappoint keeping her unbeaten record intact after posting an all-the-way win at Gulfstream Park in Florida on Easter Sunday.

The Kentucky-bred first crop 3YO won her first start at the same venue by one-length despite a testing on-pace 4-wide run in the six furlong sprint.

This time around Maracuya capitalized on her natural pace and speed to set the tempo before clearing out to a 1 1/4-lens win in the mile Allowance.  Replay here via TDN

Maracuya’s latest victory coincides with Big Brown’s intercontinental success with winners in the USA and Japan on the same day.

One of those, Apollo Sonic is now likely to be aimed at a Group 1 race in Japan next month.

Big Brown will be represented by 7-lots at the 2013 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale which starts in Sydney on April 9.
