CONGRATS filly Applauding will remain unbeaten for a long time if she continues to put down the sort of awesome sectionals that set up her scintillating win at Fair Grounds in the United States last Friday.

Applauding arrived in Louisiana having clocked 1:07.76s for the 6f (about 1200m) to set a new track record on Keeneland’s main track – on debut!

Fans at Fair Grounds expected something special and they weren’t disappointed with the Al Stall trained filly nothing sort of extraordinary for the second time in as many starts.

Applauding ran the first quarter-mile (abt 400m) in 21.71s and the half in an incredible 44.99s on the way to six furlong (about 1200m) in 1:10.34s winning by six lengths.

”These kind (of horses) make your job easy,” winning jockey Shane Sellers said,  “There’s not a jock in the room that couldn’t have rode her today….I don’t think the two turns will be a problems for her at all, she’s got tactical speed.”

Applauding’s next run, according to Stall, will likely be the $125,000 Silberbulletday Stakes at Fair Grounds on January 21 leading to a possible start in the Grade 2 Fair Grounds Oaks in March.

”We’re here,” Stall said,”That’s what we’re here for.”
