MORE Than Ready 2YO filly Always Allison enhanced her Golden Slipper prospects with a brilliant trial win at Rosehill on Tuesday morning.
Chris Waller won six of the 16 barrier trials, rating unbeaten two-year old filly Always Allison (More Than Ready) as his best of the session.
The Waller trained blueblood sat outside the leader until early in the straight at which point jockey Glyn Schofield switched on the afterburners quickly putting a gap on her rivals.
Always Allison was scratched from her scheduled debut in the Group 3 ATC Widden Stakes due to the wide barrier. She instead appeared at Warwick Farm the following Wednesday, easily accounting for her rivals.
Always Allison is prominent in the betting for the Golden Slipper Stakes (Gr 1, 1200m) but is not entered for next month’s $3,500,000 race.
Always Allison is certainly bred to the win a Golden Slipper. More Than Ready has produced two winners of the big race whilst Always Allison’s 3rd Dam is none other than the 1993 Golden Slipper winner (in record time) Bint Marscay.
Waller will give Always Allison a chance to prove she is worthy of late nomination when she runs in the Sweet Embrace Stakes (Gr 2, 1200m) at Warwick Farm on 28 February.
