MARCO Botti, trainer of 2012 Melbourne Cup placegetter Jakkalberry, has a highly promising Myboycharlie galloper on his hands in the shape of Euro Charline who recorded a thumping 9-lens win in the UK last weekend.
Euro Charline’s stunning win came over 1400m (7f) at Wolverhampton in good time and keeps her unbeaten record intact.
The three-year-old filly’s victory comes at only her second race start having won her debut at the same venue back in November.
Closer to home, Myboycharlie has several of his progeny being geared up for The Championships including ATC Oaks bound Artistic Lass as well as Gerald Ryan/Triple Crown trio of Charlie Boy, Peggy Jean and the unraced Rosehill trial winner, Charlie Royale.
Meanwhile in Victoria, Myboycharlie 3YO Mysonharry signalled his future classic prospects in the wake of his last start when closing from the rear to finish 2.1-lens fourth in the Group 2 MRC Autumn Classic (1800m).
Trained by Mick Kent at Cranbourne, Mysonharry is bred on a 3 X 3 cross of the immortal Danehill and is also line-bred to the influential broodmare Snowtop who is the grand-dam of Myboycharlie and the dam of Snowdrift (dam of Snowland, Portillo, Snippetson, etc).
