CHAMPION trainer Gai Waterhouse unearthed another potential star by Vinery Stud resident More Than Ready by the name of Go Kate Go who scored an emphatic debut victory at Gosford today.
A 3yo filly, Go Kate Go is bred on the incredibly successful More Than Ready/Danehill cross which has provided the likes of Benicio, Perfectly Ready, Elite Falls and tomorrow’s Toorak Handicap hopeful, Dreamaway.
Interestingly the cross with Danehill son’s looks just as promising with last Sunday’s Listed Maribyrnong Stakes Trial winner Cambiaso replicating the More Than Ready/Flying Spur cross made famous by Golden Slipper winner and now sireSebring.
Owned and bred by Gerry Harvey, Go Kate Go is a half sister to Kakakakatie who was good enough to win the Listed AJC Wenona Girl and P.J Bell Handicaps.
Go Kate Go is a maternal grand-daughter of St Klaire, the dam of Telesto, Fraternity and Emirates Stakes winner, Bonanova.
