VINERY Stud foundation sire Red Ransom sired his 107th individual stakeswinner when Perth filly Fuddle Dee Duddle came from last to win the Group 3 WATC Champion Fillies Stakes (1600m) at Ascot on the weekend.
Fuddle Dee Duddle is a member of the second-to-last crop of Red Ransom progeny and the most recent of three stakeswinners from his 2009 crop together with Kanzanluk and the Mick Price trained Malasun.
Red Ransom has also sired two stakes-placegetters from the same crop namely Roll The Bones and Viking Star as well as the promising types Love For Ransom, Red Dynamite and Red Hot Chillies.
Things are also shaping well for Red Ransom off the track particularly via his sire sons.
One of them, Charge Forward is currently the leading 2Y0 Sire in Australia.
Vinery Stud is home to Red Ransom’s Group 1 winning 2YO Onemorenomore whose debut crop weanlings were first and third highest priced lots at the 2012 Magic Millions National Weanling Sale on the Gold Coast.
“The way buyers responded to Onemorenomore’s weanlings is an illustration of how outstanding his foals are and I would expect that it will flow on to the Magic Millions, Inglis Classic, Premier, Easter and anywhere else his yearlings are on offer,” Vinery’s Conor Phelan.
