STAKES-PLACED Dubleo colt Queenian looks sufficiently wound-up to strike a blow when he tackles the Nova 969 Handicap (1350m) at Rosehill tomorrow.
A strikingly handsome black stallion, Queenian has so far only won just the one race in 16 starts but has managed five seconds and three thirds against quality opposition.
Queenian was runner-up in the Kindergarten Stakes as a two-year-old behind Anise at his third race start.
He returned at three to finish third in the Rosebud before beating all bar Manawanui in the Group 3 STC Up and Coming Stakes (1300m).
Now housed at Warwick Farm by Manawanui’s trained Ron Leemon, Queenian looked sharp winning an 800m trial at his home track on October 26.
