That was owner/breeder John Singelton’s happy declaration after his champion mare More Joyous posted her 20th race win in Sydney on Saturday.
Racing fans will be delighted to hear that Singleton has no plans to retire More Joyous before or after her looming Cox Plate mission come October.
“I have no plans to retire her and she could race, touch wood, for spring, autumn, spring, autumn if she stays like she is,” Singleton said.
“It’s the best she has been since leaving the farm as a two-year-old.
“Everyone that rides her or has anything to do with her says she is better than ever.
“She has always had niggles here and there but this time there is none of that and we could be in for something special.”
More Joyous’ second Sheraco Stakes win boosts her overall record to 27 starts, 20 wins and two thirds with earnings of more than $4.3m.
Among her haul are 8 Group 1 wins including memorable victories in the Doncaster Mile and Toorak Handicap.
More Joyous is a fabulous advertisement for her sire, Vinery super stallion More Than Ready, who recently surpassed the magic milestone of 100 individual stakeswinners.
