BOOM First Season Sire Myboycharlie has wasted no time getting on the board with 2yo colt Charlie Chopstick’s taking out the only 2yo trial at Warwick Farm this morning.

The Bjorn Baker trained youngster won this morning’s 800m trial in fine fashion from Sovereign Bid, the full brother to Group One winner Regal Cheer.

Charlie Chopsticks is the first foal out of Gr.3 winning King of Kings mare Queen of Queen’s and is the first Australian representative of his sire Myboycharlie (pictured).

Myboycharlie ‘reverse shuttles’ to Haras de Mezeray in France where his eldest Northern Hemisphere progeny are just yearlings.

The French Champion 2yo of 2007, Myboycharlie’s first crop was well received at the 2012 yearling sale’s where he debuted at the Magic Million’s Premier Sale in January with a 100% clearance rate and averaged over $120,000. This was over 8.5 times his service fee making Myboycharlie the most profitable first season sire at the sale, a feat the Danetime stallion repeated at Melbourne Premier in March.

The stallion’s popularity has continued to soar with Black Caviar’s breeder, Rick Jamieson (through his Gilgai Farm) recently announcing they’d purchased an interest in the young Stallion.

Myboycharlie will stand this season at a fee of $8,800 inc GST at Vinery Stud.
