CHAMPION stallion More Than Ready sired his 106th individual stakeswinner last weekend with 6yo Ready Racer and chances are that number 107 isn’t far away.

For Stakes winner 106, it was a long time coming – US galloper Ready Racer has won 12 of his 32 career starts but despite being Stakes placed as a 2yo, the Sun Sprint Championship (L) win was the geldings first in five attempts at Black type.

The next potential More Than Ready black-type winner mightn’t have to wait nearly as long.

The Vinery resident has at least two three-year-olds that are aiming at their first black-type wins namely Dazzler who lines up in the Listed VRC Cap D’Antibes Stakes (1100m) at Flemington and Sumarand who contests the Listed ATC Ming Dynasty Quality (1400m) in Sydney.

At the same time, connections of the talented staying type Proliferate are sweating on a run in tomorrow’s Listed VRC The Sofitel Stakes (1400m).
