MORE Than Ready is about to enter the ‘nervous nineties’ after registering his 89th global stakeswinner when American-bred mare Dixie Ready won a Group 3 in South America.
More Than Ready has reached his total in remarkably quick time thanks, says those who know him best, to a proven ability throw versatile, sound and high quality stock.
”They run on dirt, turf, fast and heavy tracks literally anywhere in the world,” says Vinery Stud’s Conor Phelan.
”He has sired stakeswinner from 1000m up to 2400m ages two to seven, but even so to get this close to 100 stakeswinners in such a short time is no mean feat.”
When More Than Ready reaches triple figures he will be the second Vinery Stud sire to joining the ‘110 Club’ following international champion sire, Red Ransom (sire of Vinery resident Onemorenomore).
“Just as important as the 100 milestone which may be another year away, More Than Ready has already sired a NZ Champion First Season Sire with his first crop son Perfectly Ready”.
More Than Ready arrived in tremendous shape at Vinery Stud on Wednesday with three of his ‘overseas’ counterparts namely Big Brown, Myboycharlie and the reigning Champion USA First Season Sire, Congrats.
